Curious?
If you have questions about me, my writing, If We Were Villains, or anything else, here’s the place to ask them. However, I will not answer questions about the ending of IWWV. There’s a good guideline about other questions I probably won’t answer here. Maddening though it may be, I believe solving all the mysteries rather takes the magic out of it. (And no, I am not writing a sequel.)
If you’re curious about where and how to buy the book and what formats it’s available in, please start here and here.
Please check the tags before sending quesions; it’s possible I’ve answered your question already. Here are a few good ones to start with:
- If We Were Villains: where all your questions about my debut novel have been answered
- IWWV: where you’ll find everything even vaguely related to my debut novel
- character names (Oliver, Meredith, etc.): if you have questions about a specific character, who they are or why they did something, or why I wrote them the way I did, check the tag for their name, because I’ve answered a lot of those questions already (particularly in regards to Meredith)
- writing: if you’re looking for advice or just curious about the craft
- publishing: if you’re looking for advice or just curious about the industry
- foreign rights: if you’re curious whether Villains is getting published in your country/language (if you don’t see a country/language listed, that means we haven’t sold those rights at this point)
- about M: if you’re curious about me
- the process: if you’re curious about how I write, outline, revise, or anything else (I get a lot of questions about wordcount)
- character development: questions and answers about crafting characters
- outlining: reasons to outline and ways to do it
- plot and structure: advice for story-building
- motivation, productivity, and time management: pretty self-explanatory
- WIP: daily updates for projects I’m currently working on
- works in progress: more detailed information about the projects I’m currently working on
If you have questions about other things not listed here, you can still try checking tags (i.e., literary agents or query letters) or using the search function (if you’re not sure how to search a Tumblr, Google can tell you). If you come up empty-handed, feel free to shoot me an ask! If you prefer that I answer your ask privately, please let me know and I’ll be happy to oblige. I don’t read my PMs here, so don’t bother with that.
Lastly, if your question contains huge spoilers, don’t send it on anon. It won’t get answered.
(P. S. There’s no need to curtsy here, and you can call me M. Thanks!)
